My time as a branding intern!

This past summer and into my fall semester, I got the pleasure of working as a branding intern at Continental Office. I collaborated with a small team to develop interior branding solutions for corporate and educational organizations.

During my time at Continental, I was able to see smaller to larger scale projects of mine come to life through the design process in collaboration with other designers, and the account and production managers.

The Ohio State University - The PRactice

The PRactice is a student-run PR agency, managed by communications students and future professionals.

Why Environmental Branding? The space previously lacked the organization’s brand recognition and did not resonate with its’ students and clients. The goal for the interior branding was to provide a lively space for the PRactice members and to be a memorable place for their clients.

Design concepts

I began building out the elevations to essentially create a palette for myself to develop ideas that resonated with the students interests and enjoyment.

Concept Deck

I then built a deck of final concepts to share with the client. I presented the three directions to the client gathering feedback and incorporating their requests in the next designs.

The team of students ended up going with concept B. I made a few adjustments to the background color of the wall-covering and word choice to clearly communicate the organizations values.

Cost Realty - Pittsburgh, PA

Cost Realty is a full-service commercial real estate company that has developed, managed & leased its own award-winning properties for over half a century.

Why Environmental Branding? The headquarters reception room had previously lacked internal branding to provide visual interest for employees and clients. The client’s request was to relate the space back to Pittsburgh and make it feel like a construction company.

I began by building elevations for the space and explored different designs with the the city in mind, while also ideating alternative directions using their brand mark.

After discussing the design directions with the client, they chose to use the detailed skyline and add an additional feature of a moss wall that felt built into the wall emulating construction.

The final approved designs encapsulate Pittsburgh city pride paired with nature of construction.
